That was the summary of what attendees were told last Saturday morning at Elevate.
An initiative of the Regal Ladies of Purpose, Elevate is a free breakfast event held on the first Saturday of each month at St. Faith’s Church in Station Road, Maidstone, Kent. It’s all about women getting together to build each other up while sharing a scrumptious breakfast.
The presentation at the March Elevate was a reminder for us to pursue our dreams and goals. “Most people set goals on the basis of what they know they can achieve,” Pastor Mary Eniolu said. Her challenge to the ladies was to instead remove all limitations from our thoughts and to use our imagination to paint a detailed picture of what we want our ideal job, home, friends, family, relationships – to be.
“We have to see our dreams materialising…do not use your mind to see all the things that will get in your way. If you really believe that with God all things are possible, don’t just say it, act on it,” she challenged the ladies.
Everything begins with the imagination. Those thoughts need to then translate into ideas and from ideas to plans, only then can our dreams become.
The next meeting will hold on Saturday 4th April and is open to ladies of all ages, all faiths or no faith and all walks of life.
